A Human Capital Management (HCM) system supports an organisation's business processes related to the administration, management and development of human resources. HCM systems cover a broad and deep functionality within management of their employee- and organisational data, strategic processes, HR Development, Talent Management, Onboarding, Compensation Management, Termination and Off-boarding. Furtehrmore, these systems also offer handling of all the related HR processes, from basic employee administrative functions to strategic Performance Measurement functions. Often, one distinguishes between administrative HCM and development oriented HCM.
